Personally I believe that adolescence can best be described with the literary term “Sturm und Drang”. It is an amazing time for a child is no longer a child and neither an adult. It is a time for searching for whom one is, and who one wants to become. It can be full of trial and error, experimentation, passion and rejection. It is also a time the role of the parent is being renegotiated. Adolescence may need a confidant to talk to, to let it all out, and reorganize it before putting some back in. They may need someone to talk to find themselves as a friend, a son/daughter, a student and a person.
